Time Warner is increasing internet speeds in these Austin neighborhoods in June
KVUE — Time Warner Cable has announced it is increasing its internet speeds in the Austin area next month. More than 100,000 area customers will have access to speeds up to 300 Megabits per second beginning June 3 at no additional cost.
The June upgrade will be available to roughly 40 percent of TWC internet customers in the Austin area, including customers in downtown, West Campus, Hyde Park, Clarksville, Old Enfield, North Loop, Tarrytown, Highland Park West, Central East Austin, Windor Hills, Copperfield, Springdale Heights, Harris Branch, Edinburgh Gardens, Rollingwood, West Lake Hills, Lost Creek, Barton Creek, Jollyville, Anderson Mill, Brushy Creek, Bull Creek Park, Steiner Ranch, River Place, Canyon Creek, the Reserve at Twin Peaks, Manor, Cedar Park, Jonestown, Bee Cave, Kyle, Mountain City and Uhland.
The faster speeds should be available to all area customers by fall of 2014. These additional neighborhoods include Round Rock, Leander, San Marcos, Elgin, Marble Falls, Lockhart, Bastrop, Fredericksburg, Taylor, Wimberley, Liberty Hill, Lago Vista, Buda, Kyle, Elroy and Lakeway.
