Get Your Food Fast
New app partners with hundreds of Austin restaurants for fast food delivery
There's a brand-new delivery option for hungry Austinites. DoorDash, the latest on-demand delivery service to hit Austin, began serving locals last week. The San Francisco-based company promises fresh food from your favorite area restaurants in under an hour.
Service is available from hundreds of restaurants around town. Local restaurants available through DoorDash include Southside Flying Pizza, Arpeggio Grill, Green Mesquite, Gino's East, and Pelon's Tex-Mex; Taco Bell, California Pizza Kitchen, and Buca di Beppo are a few of the corporate partners offering Austin delivery.
Orders can be placed online or through the DoorDash app, which is available for both Android and iPhone users. The average delivery fee is $5-$6, however, to celebrate the Austin launch, the company is lowering the fee to $1 through the end of September.
DoorDash currently delivers to a host of neighborhoods, from The Domain and North Burnet to downtown Austin, East Austin, Zilker Park, and South Congress. Hours of operation, as well as the option of scheduled pre-orders, vary from restaurant to restaurant. For a full list of service areas, visit the website.
