New high-rise coming to Rainey Street promises luxe downtown living
Ever-changing Rainey Street is poised for another big development. On Monday, New York-based Sackman Enterprises announced plans for a luxurious new addition to the hot neighborhood.
Seventy Rainey is a 35-story mixed-use development that will "incorporate world-class design, green-building standards and high-end construction," stated the press release. The high-rise will include 160 residences outfitted with a seemingly endless list of luxe amenities.
"With this development, Sackman has sought to incorporate many of the unique characteristics of the Rainey Street district and to reflect Austin’s community values," said CJ Sackman, local director of development for Sackman Enterprises.
In addition to "protected views of Lady Bird Lake and Austin's skyline," Seventy Rainey will offer a gym, outdoor yoga deck, vanishing-edge pool and waterfall, community garden, fire pits, meandering walkways, indoor fitness studio, virtual golf course, dog park and dog washing/grooming station. The development will also be home to a two-story restaurant and patio bar.
Design for the luxurious development has been completed and a groundbreaking is scheduled for this fall. While construction is not anticipated to be finished until late 2017, the Seventy Rainey team will begin accepting reservations this month.
"I think with our location and design, we’ve captured something special," Sackman said.
