A Luxury Stay
Austin's newest luxury hotel earns very prestigious title
Austin's newest luxury hotel, the Hotel Granduca slated to open late next year, will be one of the most exclusive in the world.
Hotel Granduca Austin has already been accepted as a member of The Leading Hotels of the World organization, according to a press release. As the largest luxury hotel collection in the world, the organization features more than 430 properties in over 80 countries. Hotel Granduca Austin and its sister property, Hotel Granduca Houston, are the only Texas hotels to hold the honor.
And along with the prestigious honor comes a high price tag. As CultureMap reported earlier this year, room rates at the new hotel are expected to be $300 a night or more. (The Hotel Granduca Houston has an average daily rate of $340.)
The nine-story boutique hotel, located at the northwest corner of Bee Caves Road and Loop 360, will feature 194 rooms. Based on developer Giorgio Borlenghi’s vision of an old-world private Italian villa, the space will also be home to a "first-class" restaurant, Ristorante Visconti, specializing in Northern Italian fare.
Hotel Granduca Austin is on target for a fall 2015 opening. For more details on the development, please read this in-depth piece.
