Favorite Austin restaurant team rolls out juicy burger outpost
Juicy news for burger fans. East Austin favorite Jacoby's Restaurant & Mercantile has a new food trailer focused specifically on burgers.
Called Jacoby's Just Casual, it's located in South Austin at Little Woodrow’s Southpark Meadows. The simple menu, created by the restaurant group's executive chef Albert Gonzalez, features beef burgers "a la plancha," made exclusively with Jacoby Brand Beef.
"We have always wanted to take Jacoby's mobile so we decided to launch a burger trailer to showcase our dry-aged, family-raised ground beef,” says Jacoby Restaurant Group owner/operator, Adam Jacoby, in a release. The beef comes from the family's ranch in Melvin, Texas, where they also operates a cafe.
Burgers range from the $8 Classic (cheddar, lettuce, tomato, pickle, onion) to the $13 Frenchy, which includes schnitzel, gruyere, crispy onion strings, and more. There's also a veggie burger for $11. Hand-cut fries and house dipping sauces round out the menu.
In addition to the new trailer, the restaurant group recently opened Grizzelda's, an upscale Mexcian restaurant across from Jacoby's Restaurant & Mercantile. Jacoby's Just Casual is open Wednesday-Saturday starting at 5 pm.
