On sale now: The 27th Annual Wine & Food Foundation's Rare & Fine Wine Auctionto benefit industry professionals and kids
Mark your calendars, tickets are on sale for the 27th installment of the Rare & Fine Wine Auction presented by The Wine & Food Foundation at the Four Seasons Hotel Austin. And this year, after much practice, the Foundation has refocused its vision.
“We are changing our mission to use our passion for wine and food to give back to the health, wealth and benefit of our community,” says Marshall Jones, Executive Director. This black-tie event includes a 100+ lot live auction of superior and collectable wines including such donations like a nine liter bottle of Special Selection by Caymus Vineyards.
What makes this year’s event so special is the Foundation’s commitment to give back to the community through grants and scholarships. They will donate a minimum of $25,000 to Texas No Kid Hungry, a new beneficiary for the Foundation.
A seven-time grantee is the Texas Sommelier Association’s Texcom Conference, providing education to over 300 wine industry professionals and sommeliers. The Foundation partners with The Stephan Pyles Culinary Scholarship granting one lucky culinary student a $15,000 scholarship, this is one of the country’s largest culinary scholarships and through their partnership with the Foundation’s Auction has awarded $175,000 thus far.
This event spanning over a quarter century has “evolved into a party [with fabulous food and drinks in the ever-fabulous setting of the Four Seasons] with an auction going on in the background,” explains Jones. There is a 100+ lot live auction and a large silent auction of rare and fine wines, dinners, wine country vacations and more making this annual, always sold-out event a must-do.
Tickets are on sale now for $250 per seat or $2,500 per a table of 12.
