The best all-night Austin happy hours to beat the Monday blues
Editors note: A previous version of this article stated that martinis were priced at $5 during Maiko Sushi Lounge's happy hour. According to the restaurant, the correct price is $6.75.
Happy hours often may be reserved for the mid-week hump or to kick off the weekend. But some Mondays require letting loose, too. For those days, these Austin spots are ready with great deals on drinks and food. Better yet, each special stretches until closing time, ensuring it's happy hour whatever time you get off the clock.
Cover 3
This upscale sports bar is not only a comfortable place to get a drink and a bite to eat, it’s also an essential spot to watch a Monday night match. From 4-11 pm on Mondays (and Tuesdays), guests can score big with $1 off glasses of wine and draft beers; $2 off cocktails; and $3 off appetizers like seared ahi tuna, nachos, and calamari. The championship deals are good at all Cover 3 and Cover 2 locations.
Jeffrey’s
Swing into this classic Clarksville eatery for a luxe 4:30-11 pm happy hour featuring $2 off all drinks and half-off bar food. After a long day, grab a cocktail like the appropriately named bourbon sipper Today, I Accomplished Zero. Then dive into fancy bar fare like king crab and avocado toast, truffled deviled eggs, and a creamy lobster and fennel bisque.
Juniper
This East Austin haunt’s “Amore Monday” spreads the love from 5-10 pm with half-off bottles of wine and beer. There are also $6 spritzers and $8 beer-and-shot combos like Blue Owl Brewing’s passion fruit and guava Tropícal Brut paired with a “snack”quiri. Food-wise, antipasti deals include $4 puffy potatoes, $6 smoky tomato hummus, and $12 grilled steak skewers. For a more substantial meal, try one of the $12 spaghetti selections.
Maiko Sushi Lounge
Cheap beer ($2.75 domestic drafts, $3.75 imports); $4.75 sakes; and $6.75 martinis can easily turn around the Monday blues. But there's food, too. From 3-11:30 pm, nosh on sushi, calamari, coconut shrimp, and other appetizers for $3-$8 a pop. Then return the next day, as Maiko offers lengthy happy hours every day of the week.
Maudie’s Tex-Mex
This beloved Tex-Mex joint knows that margaritas are a must on Mondays. From 3-10 pm at all seven locations, basic margs are only $5, while fancier versions kicked up with cucumber basil or blackberry mint are $7.50. Pair one with $4-$5 snacks such as nachos, flautitas, queso, and mini tacos.
Revelry Kitchen & Bar
Not to be confused with the recently opened Revelry on the Boulevard on North Lamar, the original East Sixth Street location kicks it on Mondays with a $2 discount on house cocktails and wines by the glass, $1 off Texas beers, and $4 wells. From 4 pm to midnight, they also dish out a variety of $5 appetizers, ranging from warm pretzels to Angus beef sliders.
