Best Wine Restaurant
East Austin gem named one of the best wine restaurants in America
With its divine fare and extensive wine list, laV has effortlessly become one of the top dining establishments in Austin. Now the east side gem is garnering national attention as one of Wine Enthusiast's 100 Best Wine Restaurants.
"With over 1,200 selections, this Provence-inspired eatery boasts the deepest wine list in Austin, housed in an industrial building that comprises a casual wine bar, chic lounge, outdoor seating and a luxe dining room," reads the magazine.
Sommelier Vilma Mazaite, says Wine Enthusiast, has curated a beverage selection that ranges from classic to eclectic, with an "emphasis on offering multiple wines and vintages from the team's favorite producers." But the wine isn't the only thing drawing praise. The savory menu and Janina O'Leary's must-have desserts pair with a rich ambience for an all-around decadent experience.
This East Austin oasis has been raking in major accolades of late. In the spring, laV was named Beverage/Wine Program of the Year at our Tastemakers Awards. And Food & Wine named Mazaite one of the top sommeliers of the year.
Three other Texas hot spots land on Wine Enthusiast's list: Dallas standout FT33 joins Houston favorites The Pass & Provisions and Underbelly.
