Opening Alert
Favorite chef cooks up something new in hot North Austin neighborhood
When one door closes, another opens. Jack Allen's Kitchen has announced plans to open a new location on Anderson Lane, in the former Fork & Vine space, which closed in June.
Chef/owner Jack Gilmore's popular restaurant already serves elevated Southern comfort food in Westlake, Oak Hill, and Round Rock. This is the first outpost to take root in the heart of Austin.
"The new Jack Allen's Kitchen in Allandale is the perfect connection between the other three locations now that we are in Central Austin," said Gilmore in the release. "We have such a great team that is helping drive this train, as well as incredible farmers that are hustling to supply us with quality ingredients."
The Anderson Lane location will serve locally sourced brunch, lunch, and dinner menus. A few new cocktail options are in the works, courtesy of beverage director David Toby.
Dick Clark Architecture and Pinnacle Construction are overhauling the Fork & Vine space and adding a new patio area that will overlook Shoal Creek. The new Jack Allen's Kitchen is expected to debut in spring 2017.
