Baby Greens Is Back
Local favorite for fast, healthy food returns with new North Austin location
After seven years, Baby Greens is set to start dishing up healthy meals again. The homegrown salad concept opens the doors to a new Anderson Lane outpost on Tuesday, November 1.
"I couldn't be more ready to bring back Baby Greens to Austin. We are proud to be the original creators of the healthy fast-food restaurant concept and are looking forward to continue innovating and growing with the local community," said owner Sharon Mays in a statement.
You may remember Baby Greens from its original South First Street drive-thru, which opened in 2004. Baby Greens grew to two other locations, but the Austin-based chain shuttered in 2009.
The new spot will resurrect Baby Greens' signature fare, including salads and soups. In addition to classics like Cobb, Caesar, and Greek, the menu has new offerings. A standout is the brightly colored rainbow salad with mixed greens, purple cabbage, carrots, avocado, tomatoes, pumpkin seeds, and feta cheese.
To make eating healthy on the go as easy as possible, Baby Greens will have two drive-thru lanes and a walk-up window. Going along with the green theme, the design of the space features eco-friendly assets like a rainwater collection system that feeds a living mural.
Hours are Monday through Friday, 11 am to 9 pm, and Saturday, 11 am to 6 pm.
