Spun Expands
Super cool ice cream shop spins new outpost in North Austin

After a year of serving frozen treats on the east side, Spun Ice Cream is expanding to North Austin. The ice cream joint's new truck starts serving scoops at The Domain on Wednesday, November 30.
Spun is the brainchild of sister duo Christina and Ashley Cheng, whose family owns Austin favorite Chinatown. Each serving of ice cream is made to order using "the magic of liquid nitrogen," which freezes extremely fast and creates a dessert that's creamier and smoother than its counterparts.
The new truck will serve dark chocolate, sweet cream, and vegan horchata ice cream, as well as high-quality hot chocolate. House-made seasonal toppings, using local ingredients whenever possible, include shortbread crumble, Texas peanut brittle, and brown butter powder.
Look for the Spun truck at the Amy Donovan Plaza, in front of iPic Theaters, from 12:30-10 pm daily.
