One-Hour Restaurant Delivery
Amazon launches one-hour food delivery service from Austin's best restaurants

Some days you just can't leave your desk (or your couch). Luckily for us, our city is flush with apps and services that offer meal delivery — and we just got another one. On Tuesday, Amazon announced the launch of a new one-hour food delivery service in Austin.
The service is available for Amazon Prime Now members, a subscription-based service that offers free shipping and deals on purchases through the online commerce hub. Since Prime Now users already pay yearly for this service, Amazon guarantees "transparent pricing" with its restaurant delivery, meaning no "menu markups or hidden service fees."
On the Prime Now delivery menu you'll find everything from sandwiches (Austin Daily Press) and pizza (Southside Flying Pizza) to barbecue (Terry Black's Barbecue) and tacos (Tamale House East). Other Austin faves on the list include Chi'Lantro, Halal Bros, Sugar Mama's Bakeshop, La Cocina de Consuelo, No Va Kitchen & Bar, Michi Ramen, Clay Pit, Monkey Nest Coffee, Chinatown, Moonshine Patio Bar & Grill, and more.
Ordering is as simple as using the Prime Now app. Customers can browse options, make an order, and track delivery all from their mobile device. Amazon promises meal delivery within an hour of ordering.
Restaurant delivery is currently available in 15 central ZIP codes in Austin. Amazon hopes to expand the coverage area and restaurant list in the upcoming months.
