New nonstop flight connects Austin to popular winter wonderland

Dreaming of a winter getaway? ViaAir has announced a new nonstop flight from Austin to Steamboat Springs, Colorado, one of the state's top ski destinations, starting this December.
The seasonal service will launch on December 13, 2017, and run through April 1, 2018. Introductory fares start as low as $109 each way.
Service on the 50-seat jet will be available Wednesdays, Saturdays, and Sundays, between Austin-Bergstrom International Airport and Yampa Valley Regional Airport. Additional service is scheduled for January 2, 4, and 9, 2018. Flights depart Austin at 11:05 am; return flights depart Steamboat Springs at 6:10 pm.
"The new ViaAir Steamboat Springs nonstop connects Central Texas ski enthusiasts to a great winter resort destination," Jim Smith, executive director of ABIA, says in a release. "We welcome ViaAir's continued growth at the Austin airport."
In February, the Florida-based airline announced seasonal, nonstop flights between Austin and Branson, Missouri. The summer service ends September 5.
