Domain Details
Even more shops and restaurants unveiled for The Domain's final phase
Nine years after launching, The Domain is nearing completion. Developers recently revealed more details and the official name of the final phase, Domain Northside, slated for a grand opening celebration in September.
The third phase of the development will consist of 43 acres, 600,000 square feet of space, and more than 20 businesses. That's in addition to the buzzy Rock Rose corridor, an entertainment district featuring Austin favorites like Birds Barbershop, Thai-Kun, Salvation Pizza, and Viva Day Spa.
The anchoring businesses of Northside are Nordstrom and high-end home furnishing store Restoration Hardware. In April, RH representatives said the Austin store was ready to open — they were simply waiting on the Domain development to catch up. Nordstrom will debut on September 30.
Another highly anticipated addition is the Archer Hotel, a 171-room boutique hotel set to open late summer. The hotel will house the second iteration of acclaimed Second Bar + Kitchen. Other brands slated for Northside include:
- Culinary Dropout
- Cyclone Anaya's
- Design Within Reach
- Eliza Page
- Flower Child
- Kiehl's
- Marine Layer
- Mitchell Gold + Bob Williams
- Paul Martin’s American Grill
- Pirch
- Planet Blue
- Sephora
- SoulCycle
- St. Bernard Sports
- Suitsupply
- Sur La Table
- Teddies for Bettys
- The Frye Company
- Will Leather Goods
"We believe Northside will come to represent its own vibrant, authentic, and relevant take on Austin culture," said Julie Sutton, director of marketing at Domain Northside, in a statement. "The attention paid to the design of the project; its tenant mix; and the deliberate opportunities for fellowship, such as the large-scale art installation and the events being developed, all illustrate our desire to uplift the consumer experience."
The development of Northside and the rest of The Domain is spearheaded by Endeavor Real Estate Group. The local firm is also working on East Austin's Plaza Saltillo District.
