Plan your partying accordingly: Capital Metro restricts Fourth of July service
Fourth of July is filled with backyard barbecues, drinks specials and picnics complete with fully stocked coolers, but if you're planning on taking public transportation to the festivities, make sure you check out Capital Metro's transportation schedule changes before heading out.
On Friday, July 4, Capital Metro will operate on Saturday bus schedule in observance of Independence Day. There will be no UT Shuttle or E-Bus service.
MetroRail service will also not be provided, so those planning on taking the light rail should find alternative ways to get around town.
In its press release, Capital Metro also notes that it will not be providing service to Circuit of the Americas for the 38th Annual Austin Symphony H-E-B July 4th Concert & Fireworks. Those attending the fireworks can find free parking in COTA's Lot F, or pay $10 to park in Lots A, C and H. For more information, please go here.
