Local favorite Deep Eddy Vodka acquired by major spirits brand
KVUE — Deep Eddy Vodka has agreed to be acquired by Kentucky-based Heaven Hill Brands, according to a joint release.
The terms of the deal have not been released, but Eric Dopkins will continue as president of Deep Eddy Vodka.
"Deep Eddy Vodka is a star on the rise in the spirits industry and is redefining the premium Vodka market with a quality product and iconic marketing programs,” said Heaven Hill Brands President Max L. Shapira.
Deep Eddy Vodka was founded in Austin by Clayton Christopher and Chad Auler. The company will continue to produce its product at the Austin-area distillery.
"The Deep Eddy team and their distributor partners will remain in place and continue to build on the exceptional momentum of the brand alongside Heaven Hill," said Dopkins.
Heaven Hill Brands was founded in 1935 and is based in Bardstown, Kentucky. Heaven Hill is nation's largest independent, family-owned and operated spirits producer and marketer and the world's second-largest holder of Kentucky Bourbon.
