Celebrity fitness craze finally pedals into downtown Austin

Update: SoulCycle's downtown location will open February 14.

Celebrity favorite SoulCycle is once again tapping into Austin's cycling obsession. On Monday, the fitness brand announced it will open a new studio in downtown Austin at the Frost Bank Tower in February 2017.
This is the second SoulCycle in Austin; the company opened at the Domain Northside in September.
Known for its club-like lighting, pulsing music, and celeb sightings — first lady Michelle Obama, Bradley Cooper, Madonna, and Lady Gaga are all devotees — SoulCycle promises an "inspirational, meditative fitness experience" that is as physically intense as it is emotionally charged.
The downtown location will feature a 56-bike studio, locker rooms, and SoulCycle's signature athletic clothing boutique. Classes typically cost $30 for 45 minutes, but there are longer, more intense classes available, as well as classes for teens.
SoulCycle has more than 65 locations nationwide, the majority in New York and Los Angeles. In addition to the studio at Domain Northside, SoulCycle rolled into Houston and Dallas earlier this year.
