A Music Tradition
Unplugged at the Grove embarks on its 20th season of live music, full lineup announced
Temperatures may be mild, but that doesn't mean that legendary summer series aren't in full swing in Austin. As has been tradition since 1993, KGSR returns with its music series, Unplugged at the Grove, bringing live music to the idyllic Barton Springs location of Shady Grove through September.
Each Thursday at 8 p.m., a favorite Austin band will join a crowd of music lovers on the pecan grove patio for a night of music, home-cooking and refreshing drinks. Local rocker Bob Schneider kicked off the 2013 season last month, but plenty of Austin's music icons are still slated to play. The series' full lineup has just been announced, and includes blues mistress Carolyn Wonderland, female country band The Trishas, up-and-comer Max Frost, and a special September guest yet to be named.
In honor of its 20th anniversary season, Mayor Lee Leffingwell has declared Summer 2013 as “20 years of Unplugged at the Grove.” The Unplugged at the Grove lineup is as follows:
