In honor of Mother’s Day, the wellness spa is offering a $40 discount on its Essential Duo package, which features a choice of two essential services, ranging from a massage to a body wrap or mani-pedi. The Glass Skin Glow package, which includes a hydrafacial, dermaplaning, and a Vitamin C mask, is also $80 off. Or you can let her choose how she’d like to spend her day recharging through the Mother’s Day gift card promotion with reduced prices up until May 8.
Blue Genie Art Bazaar’s Annual May Market
Now to Sunday, June 1
Shop until you drop at Blue Genie Art Bazaar’s annual May Market. The art market features 200 regional artists and artisans, with products including handcrafted wooden gifts from Honeywood, demi-fine jewelry from Dawn & Dusk jewelry, and Texas-inspired watercolor prints from Kim Kaiser Art. The free event is open on Mother’s Day from 12 to 3 pm with free spontaneous poems for Mom from the Typewriter Rodeo poets.
Ceramigos’ Mother’s Day Clay & Bouquet
Sunday, May 4, and Saturday, May 10
In this two-hour pottery workshop, you and Mom will be able to get your hands dirty and take home your own Mother’s Day creations. On May 4 and May 10 from 2 to 4 p.m., Ceramigos will teach you how to make a clay bowl and flower frog while fueling up on complimentary brunch bites and drinks. The pottery studio will also gift you dried flower bouquets to display in your homemade gift at home. Tickets are on sale online for $75 a person.
Zilker Lodge’s Momchella
Thursday, May 8
If your mom missed out on Coachella this year, Zilker Lodge is hosting its own version to celebrate motherhood. Momchella won’t feature the same lineup of your favorite artists, but the indoor/outdoor venue tucked in the Zilker neighborhood will be hosting a kids-free night with massages, shopping, a DJ, open bars, giveaways, and small bites. General admission is $35, and tickets are available on Eventbrite.
Ballet Austin’s Romeo & Juliet
Friday to Sunday, May 9-11
For Moms who appreciate the arts, snag some tickets to Ballet Austin’s final performance of the 2024/2025 season, Romeo & Juliet. The hopeless romantic tale will be told through the graceful dance, which is choreographed by Ballet Austin’s artistic director, Stephen Mills. The ballet takes place at The Long Center for the Performing Arts and features Russian composer Sergei Prokofiev’s original score, accompanied by a live performance from the Austin Symphony Orchestra.

Austin Mimosa Walk
Saturday, May 10
Take a boozy stroll with Mom down South First with the Austin Mimosa Walk. The tour includes stops at local shops, cafés, wellness boutiques, and food trucks along the corridor, including Sugar Mamas Bakeshop, Pop! Vintage, and Devil’s Details Boutique. Participants will receive a complimentary mimosa at each visit, and the theme is Hawaiian, so tropical shirts are encouraged. Tickets cost $32 and are available to purchase on Eventbrite.
Mozart’s Coffee Roasters’ Mother’s Day Tea Party
Saturday and Sunday, May 10 & 11
This waterside coffee shop never misses a chance to celebrate a holiday, and Mother’s Day is no exception. Mozart’s is hosting an elegant tea party on the roastery’s lower deck, overlooking Lake Austin. Moms will get to enjoy bottomless coffee and tea, a three-tiered tower of bite-sized sandwiches and pastries, and a performance from live string musicians. Tickets include food and drink and are on sale online for $65 a person.
Mother’s Day at the Capitol
Sunday, May 11
Moms will be serenaded by the Austin Symphonic Band (not to be confused with the Austin Symphony Orchestra) on the South Steps of the State Capitol at 7 pm. Enjoy a performance of patriotic tunes like “The Star Spangled Banner,” marches, and songs from the 1927 musical Showboat, while soaking up the grandeur of the Capitol at sunset at this free, family-friendly event.
Meanwhile Brewing Co.’s Mother’s Day Party
Sunday, May 11
Bring your kid to yoga class at Meanwhile Brewing Co.’s celebration of moms. Satya Yoga will be hosting the family-friendly flow at 9 am at the brewery’s soccer field. Bring your own mat and RSVP online for the donation-based class. Once you’ve awoken from shavasana, grab some avocado toast from the Songbird food truck or breakfast pizza from Side Eye Pie for brunch, before heading over to the pop-up market of local vendors for a last-minute gift. Strawberry Flats & Valley Flower will also be jamming out with the moms with a free bluegrass concert starting at 1:45 pm.
Radio East’s Home Street Music concert
Sunday, May 11
Home Street Music, a nonprofit with a music program for people who have experienced homelessness, is hosting a Mother’s Day concert dedicated to your favorite ladies at Radio East on Sunday. Starting at 4 pm, the East Austin coffee shop will be hosting a free evening of local bands and artists, including the Home Street Music Band, Carrie Elkin, and Raina Rose.
