Where to shop in Austin right now: Top stores for cozy fall fashion and cool new designs
We’ve gathered some of the freshest ways to embrace Austin’s much-anticipated fall season. This month, we welcome newcomer Kit and Ace onto the scene. We also celebrate the new flagship location of Austin’s esby; notable fall footwear at Stag; and for design lovers, a new shop to swoon over — Katie Kime (as recently seen in Vogue).
Katie Kime
Austin-based Katie Kime has opened a new boutique on West Fifth Street. Katie Kime is a stylish lifestyle collection of furniture, clothing, and accessories. With bright colors and bold prints, the modern brand has a worldly feel noting influences from all over the globe, but with a Southern taste and bohemian touches. Get ready for cozy fall and winter nights indoors with the shop's unexpected mix of home accessories, standout pieces in furniture design, and a variety of fashion separates for cool nights out enjoying your favorite patios. We can’t wait to see what’s to come from this already impressive Austin shop.
Kit and Ace
Canadian-based Kit and Ace is a global brand with a unique city-chic feel. The company incorporates quality custom pieces crafted by local artists into its shops to reflect each individual store’s local market. Each boutique has a supper club table and an exhibition space to foster community and elevate the shopping experience. Now the company can add a list of Austin talent to its roster. “The city of Austin is a great fit for our brand,” says JJ Wilson, co-founder and head of brand at Kit and Ace. “It has a vibrant culture with an awesome music and arts scene. We can’t wait to collaborate and engage with Austin’s local creative class.”

esby apparel
Esby has a new Austin flagship on South First Street. Esby apparel is known for its womenswear collection of well-made pieces that will stand as key items in your wardrobe for years to come. Stephanie Beard, esby’s creator, works to support the idea of slow fashion through her designs. The collection offers coveted pieces that truly get better with age — focusing on quality, thoughtful design, relevancy, and wearability. Stop by the brand’s new Austin store to shop the latest collection and see the company's aesthetic truly come to life.
Stag
This fall, the exclusive collaboration between Red Wing and Stag Provisions for Men will assure one is putting his best foot forward. Although Stag is no stranger to Austin's fashion scene, the popular South Congress store is introducing an exclusive new boot this season. Featuring the Red Wing Classic round toe styling originally introduced by the company in 1919, the new boot offers the comfort of an oxford with the strength of a work shoe. Designed to withstand harsh field conditions with stain resistance and superior water repellency, the Olive Mohave Roughout leather used on the boot is the same leather sold by Red Wing to the Marine Corps. It is the first time the material has been used on this silhouette. This boot is only available at Stag — get yours while they last.
