South Lamar Social Club offers new boozy outdoor oasis
One South Austin lounge now promises to quench any thirst, no matter what kind of libation you're craving.
During the week the Irie Bean Coffee Bar serves up coffee drinks to Austinites in search of a caffeine fix. But on the weekends, the chill coffee joint morphs into an easy-going patio bar serving up adult beverages to Austinites in search of a post-work escape.
The South Lamar Social Club, which officially opened on March 26, is a boozy oasis tucked away in the busy SoLa corridor.
Owner Raf Robinson and the bar team serve delicious wine-based cocktails, like the moscato-based blueberry mojito and a classic frozen margarita with agave wine. Local beer options are also available. And for hungry patrons, bites are available from East Side King.
South Lamar Social Club shares a backyard with the brick-and-mortar location of East Side King, and the crew is happy to serve up its favorite fare to bar dwellers.
Those looking for a coffee can get their buzz at any time, but the social club is only open Thursdays and Fridays at 4 pm and Saturdays and Sundays at noon.
