Another day, another hot restaurant for Domain Northside. Paul Martin's Austin Grill is now open in North Austin, serving lunch, happy hour, and dinner. This is the first localized version of the Paul Martin's American Grill chain, which has one outpost in Dallas; eight in California; and one in Scottsdale, Arizona.
Paul Martin's was co-founded by Paul Fleming, who is the "P.F." in P.F. Chang's China Bistro, as well as the "Fleming" in Fleming's Prime Steakhouse & Wine Bar. He was also part of the braintrust that created Pei Wei Asian Diner. As for Paul Martin's, Martin is Fleming's middle name.
Fleming and co-founder Brian Bennett promise elevated American cuisine with high-quality meats that are hormone- and antibiotic-free. "The beef is grass-fed and grain-finished, the chicken is free-range and vegetarian-fed, and the seafood is wild caught and sustainably harvested — ensuring not only the highest quality and flavor, but also the restaurant’s commitment to sourcing from only the very best farms, ranches and fisheries," says a release.
Favorites on the menu include prosciutto mac and cheese, braised short ribs, and a bistro burger. A live-fire mesquite grill offers smoky standouts like chimichurri chicken and blackened rib-eye.
The drink menu features classic cocktails and an impressive beer selection, however wine is the real star here. The extensive list comprises several high-end labels, 80 of which are available by the glass.
Paul Martin's opens ahead of other highly anticipated Domain Northside tenants like Culinary Dropout and Flower Child, scheduled to debut later this fall.
Hours for Paul Martin's Austin Grill are Monday through Thursday from 11 am to 10 pm, Friday and Saturday from 11 am to 11 pm, and Sunday from 11 am to 9 pm.
