Favorite Austin beer shop crafts new neighborhood hot spot for Mueller
There's something new brewing in the Mueller district. WhichCraft Beer Store, the bottle shop on South Lamar Boulevard, opens a second location in Mueller on Friday, November 11,with buzzworthy upgrades.
"With the original WhichCraft, we were testing the concept that we could be craft beer, specialty bottle shop, and [a] successful business in Austin," says owner Jody Reyes. "Our customers have been really loyal to us and allowed us to expand on the concept."
In addition to a larger selection of bottles and cans, the Mueller space boasts an impressive tap wall; pints can be enjoyed onsite and growlers can be taken to-go. There will also be a full-fledged coffee menu, as well as bites from Green Cart and Tyson's Tacos.
"I see both the on-premise beer and the coffee program becoming a neighborhood hangout," says Reyes. "All in all, it's quite a bit different from South Lamar, but still true to our roots."
While the South Lamar spot hosts a few free tastings a week, the Mueller outpost will take the offerings to the next level (tastings, flights, and even coffee and beer pairings).
WhichCraft is located in Mueller, between Bribery Bakery and L'Oca d'Oro. Hours are Monday through Thursday from 8 am to 10 pm, Friday and Saturday from 8 am to midnight, and Sunday from 8 am to 9 pm.
