Austin's young and charitable gathered on Friday, February 7 in celebration of the fourth annual CharityBash Masquerade Ball. Held at The Mansion, the black tie evening is a signature event hosted by Citizen Generation.
A dapper crowd filled The Mansion ballroom, decked out in tailored suits, exquisite gowns and elaborate masks. Among the young movers and shakers in attendance were Rochelle Rae, founder of Austin's Rae Cosmetics and A.J. Bingham, member of the party's host committee and legislative director for McWilliams Governmental Affairs Consultants. Additional attendees included Sara Strother and Andy Brown, who is running for Travis County Judge. Eric Cullen, Jenny Young, Keena Chung, Yvette Galvan and Katie Bode all donned their finest feather masks while Eve Bryant and Jarvis Sam took over the dance floor.
Guests like Thomas Giamboi, Yuan Jia, Ryan Dawson and Juliana Dawson enjoyed tunes from DJ Jonny Bravo and toasts at the Champagne Station. Throughout the evening, attendees like Minh Tran, Janet Ngo and Kamal Khouri sampled bites from new downtown hot spot Chavez and sweets from Butterface Bake Shop.
Funds from the sold-out event will support the efforts of Citizen Generation, a nonprofit whose mission is to engage people in philanthropy and citizenship. Its ongoing programs — including CharityBash, CharityLadies, CharityLunch and CharityVolunteers — make philanthropy and community involvement fun, affordable and accessible to up-and-coming Austinites.
