Texas-style gastropub poised to become North Austin's new neighborhood gem

Northwest Austin has a hot new neighborhood hang: Introducing Oasthouse Gastropub, a bar and restaurant combo slated to open Tuesday.
The cozy gastropub, which marries modern elements with an overall farmhouse feel, is nestled in a shopping center off of North FM 620. With ample seating both indoors and out, the restaurant boasts space for a relaxed dinner or a private party.
"We're looking forward to joining the Northwest Austin community," said Chef/Owner Amir Hajimaleki in a press release. "Guests can look forward to our seasonal spin on traditional gastropub fare with a great selection of cocktails and local beers."
Brothers Amir and Ali Hajimaleki are the same duo behind District Kitchen + Cocktails in South Austin, which was named one of the Top 100 Neighborhood Gem Restaurants in the U.S. 2014. The well-loved restaurant focuses on craft cocktails and locally sourced ingredients.
Oasthouse Gastropub will serve bar food classics with a German emphasis and a "Texas twist." Menu highlights include bangers and mash as well as a Lone Star State-themed shepherd's pie with tenderloin and a (512) Pecan Porter braise. On the bar side, the extensive beverage lineup ranges from 21 beers on tap to a bevy of classic and unique cocktails. If that doesn't strike your fancy, perhaps one of the selections from the widespread wine list will.
Once open, Oasthouse Gastropub will offer lunch and dinner service in addition to a weekend brunch.
