Stars are predicted to be big and bright at Texas Film Hall of Fame After-Party
The stars at night are especially big and bright during the days leading up to SXSW, and many are hung upon the Texas Hall of Fame Awards Show and official After-Party. And if you aren't swimming in bucks big enough to afford you a table at the ceremony at ACL Live, we highly encourage you to participate in the post-soiree soiree.
Hosted by the Austin Film Society (AFS) and honoring the Texas Film Hall of Fame talent, the After-Party will take place at Austin Studio Stage 7, a new expansion of Austin Studios, operated by AFS.
Associate Artistic Director Holly Herrick tells CultureMap,"The [After-Party] theme is 'by artists, for artists' — welcoming Austin's creative types and those who love them."
On hand to further that arts-focused agenda will be guest DJs Graham Reynolds (musician and composer of A Scanner Darkly, Bernie, Before Midnight); Adrian Quesada (Grupo Fantastma and Brownout); Jim Eno (Spoon).
Per the Austin Film Society's mission of empowering the community "to make, watch and love film and creative media," Executive Director Rebecca Campbell says, "[The After-Party] is part of our long term vision for Austin Studios to have more film production, affordable office space for artists and a public face so we can welcome the community."
Everyone — stars and normals, alike — will enter Austin Studios via a red carpet, so don your best movie-star attire to dance, drink and eat the night away in support of Texas film, music and artistic advancement. Tickets for the After-Party will be available online ($30 for one, $50 for two) until Thursday at noon, as well as available at the door.
