High Five
This massive new entertainment hub will drive Austinites right out of town
Just in time for the new year, Lakeway's new one-stop shop for family entertainment has announced an opening date. High 5 will combine the best of bowling, gaming, and dining into a top destination on January 11, 2016.
The complex is tucked away in the blossoming Oaks at Lakeway development on Ranch Road 620, just a half-hour drive from Central Austin. The 47,000-square-foot venue has more than enough space for its two-story laser tag arena, 28 bowling lanes, five private event rooms, and hordes of arcade games.
Geared toward families, High 5 also offers an adults-only escape in the form of Up Top. Twelve bowling lanes can be found in this swanky upstairs lounge, along with a full-service bar. As far as food goes, the restaurant portion of High 5 promises "American classics with a gourmet twist."
High 5 is owned by husband-and-wife duo Scott and Jennifer Emley. "This is a dream come true for me and Scott. It represents the culmination of a vision as entrepreneurs, and for the region," Jennifer Emley said in a press release announcing the groundbreaking. "We’re excited to bring our unique take on the family entertainment center to our community," added Scott Emley.
In addition to High 5, the Oaks at Lakeway will serve as a town center with a variety of restaurants and retail storefronts anchored by a massive H-E-B.
