When you're looking for beachy vibes this summer, where will you go? East Austin, of course.
Kitty Cohen's, a bar opening on Webberville Road in July, wants to be your new destination for refreshing cocktails, funky 1970s vibes, and a gorgeous patio.
This sexy little number comes from 1886 Management, the folks behind Proof & Cooper in Dripping Springs and The Blackheart on Rainey Street, and Erick Sanger of Transmission Events. With Kitty Cohen's, the team hopes to break the east side dive-bar mold.
The lounge is described as classy, iconic, and a little trashy. The ambience comes to life with vintage decor, a baby grand piano, and an old-school Turf Club arcade game. Did we mention the patio has a pool?
There's more to Kitty Cohen's than sunny days and sultry nights. The bar will host weekend brunch as well as chef-driven pop-ups and supper clubs in its outdoor kitchen. In addition to beer, wine, and sake, the curated beverage program includes classic cocktails, wine spritzers, and other sweet concoctions to be sipped throughout the day.
Look for Kitty Cohen's in the former Bar 2211 space. An exact opening date has not been revealed, but the bar's social media accounts will keep you up-to-date on the grand opening party in July.
