Brugal Rum Tastings
Learn more about three flavorful Brugal rums from the Dominican Republic during these guided tastings at Péché and Isla, which are free to the first 25 guests. Everyone else will receive a complimentary cocktail and information on an upcoming event. An RSVP is necessary — the tastings will occur at Péché on Monday and Isla on Tuesday.

Lunch at The Hightower benefiting ColorCancer
May we suggest lunch at The Hightower? The east side eatery will donate 20 percent of this week's lunch sales to ColorCancer, an Austin nonprofit that provides free at-home care supplies for cancer patients. Enjoy any Hightower sandwich with fries and a drink for only $9.

Trio for Paws Lawn Party & Silent Auction
Indulge in passed hors d'oeuvre and a Deep Eddy Vodka bar during this annual fundraiser benefiting Austin Pets Alive!, Austin Humane Society, and Emancipet. The delicious lawn party at the Four Seasons will also feature a silent auction and live tunes from Ryan Waguespack. Tickets are $75.

Salty Sow and Jester King Beer Dinner
These two Austin faves are teaming up for a splendid three-course supper designed by Chef Harold Marmulstein and paired with top farmhouse ales from Jester King. Ring in autumn with a trip to the Jester King brewery and an al fresco dinner. Tickets are $100.

Breast Cancer Awareness Month at Searsucker
The famed Jaleberry Stawpeno cocktail from Searsucker is going pink for Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Throughout October, $1 of every Jaleberry ordered will go to our local chapter of the Susan G. Komen Foundation — the perfect excuse for happy hour at this downtown restaurant.
