live music capital of the world
The city of Austin gets its own music video chock-full of Grammy-winning artists
The self-appointed Live Music Capital of the World better have some marketing ammunition to legitimize that lofty title for the tourists it lures in each year.
In addition to the city's plethora of live music venues, the Austin Convention and Visitors Bureau makes good on the claim to fame with the release of Austin's very own music video.
Covering the Grammy-winning Jimmie Vaughan's track "Tick Tock," the video is a collaboration between a wide range of artists and their differing genres.
“We see this project as a destination calling card like no other. We know Austin’s music scene draws a large audience of visitors,” said Bob Lander in a press release, president and CEO of the ACVB. “We’re in the Live Music Capital of the World and this video showcases the diversity of our local talent in a variety of iconic locations across the city.”
