Teatro Vivo presents Mexcentrics
Bilingual Latino theater company Teatro Vivo has planned a weekend-long comedy showcase with host Howard Beecher. Beginning Thursday at the Emma S. Barrientos Mexican American Cultural Center, Mexcentrics will highlight some of comedy's brightest Latino talent, including improv, stand-up, and sketch.
Thumbtack Celebration Supporting Florence's Comfort House
Thumbtack is hosting a family-friendly block party this Saturday with live music, loads of food, fun games, and a silent auction to benefit child care nonprofit Florence's Comfort House. Mayor Steve Adler is set to make a special appearance at this neighborhood-inspired hangout. The celebration is free and open to the public, but an RSVP is required.
